CTA: 3D VOLUME
RENDERED
Diagnosis:
GIANT RIGHT CORONARY SINUS OF VALSALVA ANEURYSM
45 y/o FEMALE
Discussion:
Coronary sinus
aneurysms are caused by weakening of the annulus with
progressive enlargement of the sinus of valsalva. They are more
common on the the right side. The aneurysm may commonly rupture
in to the pericardium, ventricle and atria, creating a fistulae.
Complications carry very high morbidity and mortality. Cardiac
CTA is an excellent non-invasive test to diagnose and follow
sinus of valsalva aneurysms.
