Cardiac CTA:
AXIAL MIP THROUGH THE LEVEL OF THE LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE
Diagnosis:
REDUNDANT LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE
65 y/o female
with a history of atypical chest pain.
Discussion:
This case shows an anatomic variant of the let atrial appendage.
The appendage is redundant with a pocket (arrows)
extending medially and posterior to the aortic annulus. There is
no thrombus in the appendage.
