CTA: RCA WITH
CATH CORRELATION
Diagnosis:
RUPTURED PLAQUE AND 2 AREAS OF HIGH GRADE OBSTRUCTION
72 y/o male
atypical chest pain and questionable inferior wall ischemia on a
nuclear stress test
Discussion:
The CTA clearly demonstrates a ruptured plaque proximally in the
RCA with penetration of contrast in to the wall ( double
arrows). There are 2 focal areas of high grade stenosis (single
arrows) in the mid RCA. The referring doctor was promptly called
and the patient underwent an angiogram (lower frame) and
stenting the following day and had no complications.
